Golden Star Resources Ltd. (AMEX:GSS) (TSX:GSC) announced today that it has reached an agreement with IAMGold Corporation (AMEX:IAG) (TSX:IMG) which provides Golden Star with the access it requires to conduct due diligence in order to satisfy the due diligence condition in its offer to purchase all of the outstanding common shares of IAMGold.
